A. W. Garbens, B.Econ, AACI, P. App.

Al has extensive experience with Real Estate and Banking having sold his first brokerage house in 1968.  He joined the Appraisal Institute in 1971 and graduated University in 1972 with a degree in economics.  From 1972 to 1977 he sold real estate as both a salesman and broker.  In 1977 he joined the CIBC as head office staff appraiser.  From 1978 to 1981 he worked for CIBC running the Real Estate Credits department and from 1981-1982 he was manager of Real Estate with Vanguard Trust.  Since 1982 he has run his own Appraisal and Real Estate Brokerage Companies.  His long term and extensive experience in all fields of Real Estate Appraisal and Development Financing is an asset to both the company and all his clients.  Al is a fully accredited appraiser in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada since 1971 and is past chair of the Huronia Chapter.

Marie Garbens, H. BSc., CRA

An Accredited Appraiser in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada with over 10 years of experience appraising real Estate.  Marie has appraised a wide variety of different property types and is currently working towards her AACI, P. App. designation.  Marie has also volunteered her time to augment the professional standings of appraisers by being the Chair of the Huronia Chapter of the Appraisal Institute of Canada - Ontario and was recently a Director for the Appraisal Institute of Canada – Ontario.  Marie has Federal government experience regarding environmental issues and has a science degree with a specialization in environmental sciences and plants.

David Rober, AACI, P. App, DBA, BA.

Accredited Appraiser in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada with over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry as a sales representative and appraiser. Experience includes inspection and reports of commercial properties, multi-unit apartment buildings, retail plazas, industrial buildings and condominiums, farms, residential properties and development sites.

Matthew Browning, Hon. B. Comm.

Matthew is a Candidate Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada in good standing since 2011. He spent four years at the University of Guelph completing his Bachelor of Commerce in Real Estate and Housing and is currently working towards the final stages of his AACI, P. App. designation.

Hilary Garbens, CRA

Hilary has been working within the Real Estate Industry, completing appraisals and selling real estate, for over 10 years.  Hilary has a vast knowledge and understanding of the current real estate markets within York Region, South Simcoe, Northern Toronto, Western Durham, and Eastern Peel Region.  Hilary is a member is good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada.  Hilary obtained her degree in Bachelor of Administrative Studies from York University June 2005, her Certificate in Business Management from York University June 2005, her Real Estate Salesperson licence in 2006 and obtained her CRA designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada June 2008.  Hilary is an Accredited Appraiser in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada.

Michael Garbens

Michael Garbens is a Candidate Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and has years of working experience with York Simcoe Appraisals. Michael has diplomas in both Business and Financial Planning and has work experience in the financial sector. Currently he is continuing his education towards his CRA designation.

Robert Patterson, CRA

Robert Patterson is an experienced CRA in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Robert has experience appraising a wide variety of residential properties including: waterfront, rural, acreage and luxury estate residential properties. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph.

Jennifer Antonio

Jennifer is an active Candidate Residential Appraiser Proudly Serving York Region, South Simcoe County, West Durham Region & Toronto. She is a member in good standing with the Toronto Real Estate Board since 2008. Jennifer earned her B.Sc. in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University in 2003, her Certificate in Project Management from Humber College in 2004, and her Real Estate Salesperson License in 2008. Jennifer is currently completing her CRA designation through the University of British Columbia, and she is a Candidate Member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada.

Heather Roy

Heather has been working within the real estate industry for the past 10 years. Graduating from Brock University with a BA in 2000 and post graduate in 2003. She is an AIC Candidate Member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, and is currently working her way towards her CRA designation. Heather has a wide range of knowledge of construction and renovations, and understanding of the real estate markets within York, Simcoe or Durham regions.

Yan Li

Yan Li is an active Candidate Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada since 2016. She was awarded her Bachelor Degree of Land Resource Management after graduation from Tongji University in 2004 and acknowledged as National Certified Valuator in 2008. She studied 2 years in Real Property Administration program at Seneca College and obtained her Real Property Assessment Certificate from UBC in 2015. She is currently working on her final stage of CRA designation.

Kelly is a Candidate Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and is currently working her way towards her CRA designation through the University of British Columbia. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University
